Briony stood. She was glad to know more about him, but now they had to get back to their duty. She followed him to the door. "Yeah.. If there are any."she said, knowing all to well they probably wouldnt find people, and if they did it wouldnt be many. She stood there a moment at the door, next to him, looking up at him.

Jake smiled as she commented about the lack of excitement in this school like she had done earlier "Yes i doubt we will find any risk taker tonight" he said as she walked up next to him, she paused and looked up at him for a second and Jake looked at her, she had been good to talk to, he had been friends with her for a while but it hadn't been until they were prefects that they had acctually talked one on one, she had been interesting to talk to for the last few weeks and that was different to other girls he knew, something suddenly dawned on him, and as she stood there looking up at him he turned to her and gently let his hand go to her side as he moved forward and gently pushed his lips against hers in the most spontanous kiss he had ever made. That made this night the most interetsing of the school year so far.

Briony stood their looking at him. She had learned many things about him tonight, it was the first night she had actually learned things about him. Most times they just made small talk, or didnt really talk at all. She looked to him taking a sharp breath as he let his hand fall to her side. She was a bit surprised by the kiss, but it didnt keep her from enjoying it. She kissed back, almost without thinking. She had never thought of Jake in that way, but now it all seemed to make sense. After a few moments, she pulled back and looked at him, not exactly sure what to say to him.

Jakes mouth turned into a small smile as his eyes met hers, he had found her different to the other girls in the last hour he had been speaking to her, he wasn't normally the type of jump into things but he might aswell take a chance. "I told you i would make tonight more interesting" he said "Did you like it?" he asked.

Briony smiled lightly. "Interesting indeed."she said pausing a moment. "Surely it beats doing normal rounds."She said. He had caught her off guard, something she loved. She was usually a pretty predictable person, but occasionally liked surprises. Especially ones like that.
She looked to him, pushing back a few strands of hair from her face. "We should uh.. probably get to catching those rule breakers."she said rather lamely. She was just trying to avoid an awkward silence. She hated silence...well in this situation anyways.

Jake smiled and nearly laughed as she tried to get passed what she though might be an awkward silence. Jake just nodded his eyes still twinkling "Yes those rule breakers" he said raising his eyebrows as he opened the door, he gestured for her to step though first and then walked out standing next to her his hand pressed gently against her lower back.

Briony nodded and walked out the door that he held for her, glancing back to him a moment with a slight smile. "Where to first?"she asked. She looked to him, and around the hallways. No one was there but them. Most people stuck by the curfew, barely anyone broke the rules. But strangely enough.. the night was not boring.

Jake, his hand still on her lowed back turned her to the left "I vote we start at the top and work our way down, that means by the time we have finished rounds we will be right outside the Slytherin common room" he said with a smile, walking with her his hand now dropping from her back and swinging gently by his side.
